Emanuel Nathan Hammond Sr. “Manny”

November 1, 1961 - September 1, 2022

Emanuel Nathan Hammond Sr. affectionately known as Manny, was born on November 1,1961 in Cheverly, Md to the late Walter White Sr. and Elizabeth Hammond.

Emanuel met his loving former wife, Renee Moss at a night- club, where he swept her off her feet. They were united in Holy matrimony in February of 1995. From this loving union, three kids were born: Irene, Emanuel Jr. and Malinda. He also cared for Antonio and Angela as if they were his own. Manny and Renee separated, but they were very good friends until his transition.

Manny was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. His unconditional love was felt by everyone he touched and interacted with throughout his life.

Manny accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Incarnation Church.

He was educated in the Prince George’s County school system. Manny was the life of the party. He loved to sing and dance. He enjoyed listening to Motown and old hymns. Some of his favorites included the Temptations, Al Green, O’Jays, Sam Cook and Roy C. One of his favorite songs, and the one that the family most enjoyed hearing every Christmas with his dad aka “Pops” and the brothers, was “Silent Night.” It was as if you heard the Temptations performing live in front of you. A memory that will never be forgotten.

If you ever needed ANYTHING done, you don’t cal MAACO. You don’t call Molly’s Maid. You don’t call a Landscaper. You don’t call anyone. You just pick up the phone and call Manny. He was a jack of all trades and he mastered them all.

On Thursday, September 1,2022, GOD released Emanuel Nathan Hammond Sr. from his earthly home to his heavenly home.
